Darvish to Debut on the 7th

» 27 February 2012 » In mlb »

According to Sanspo, Yu Darvish will make his Texas Rangers spring debut on March 7, against the Padres in Peoria. The plan is for Darvish start the game and to throw up to two innings.

Alas, I won’t be in Arizona for spring training this year, so I won’t be able to attend.

Thank you Patrick for your response. I have been searching high and low for ways to watch the npb. What do you mean though that you drop links on your twitter account? Like from time to time, or for almost every game? Also what time do the games start here in america? Iam in the east time zone.

Usually games start at 6pm Japan time (internets can be useful for calculating time difference since you also have daylight savings time). There are some day games on weekends and holidays.

This page should updated fairly soon with the 2012 schedule (NPB is still not quite in the 21st century).

It’ll be a split squad game from the Padres side too. Line ups aren’t set, but it will be a young, inexperienced offense that Darvish faces. He should do well!
