What’s the current playing status for Tokyo Yakult Swallows pitcher Ricky Barrett? I heard that he’s temporarily playing on the Swallows minor league team to strengthen his pitching arm so he can return to the regular pitching rotation instead of as a relief pitcher.

Shane — Barrett is back with the Swallows pitching in relief. He made appearances on the 15th and 19th and has an 0.00 era in 3 innings. They were looking at him as a starter though. These guys can give you a better idea of what’s going on with him: http://tokyoyakultswallows.wordpress.com/

Patrick – Just kidding. If I was going to jab Nashida, I would have said Sweeney or Tadano.
